Unmanned Inspection for Substations

We have initiated the automation of UAV inspections for substations and conducted research on safety inspection strategies for UAVs to ensure the safety of inspections. This initiative has resulted in the successful implementation of automated UAV inspections for substations, significantly enhancing the inspection capabilities and efficiency.

Pain Points of the Industry

The layout of equipment and facilities in substations is compact and complex with high and low arrangement, and the inspection areas are extensive with multiple points. At present, it mainly relies on manual operation, inspecting robots, and fixed monitoring devices.

Manual inspection involves heavy workload and is of low efficiency, and poses risks to personal safety. On the other hand, robot inspection has limitations in terms of field of view, making it difficult to observe parts at heights or on the top.

The unmanned aerial intelligent inspection system does not rely on the manual operation on site, the inspection task can be completed autonomously by the UAV, effectively solving many pain points in substations.
